Alexis Brignoni
Alexis Brignoni has been serving the area of Orlando, Florida for the last 16 years as a Special Agent of a Federal Law Enforcement agency. A native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, he has a Bachelor's in Computer Science and an MBA in Management of Information Systems. Before working as a digital forensics examiner, he was a case agent tasked with investigating online crimes against children, network intrusions, intellectual property and online fraud among others. Currently holding multiple digital forensics certifications, Alexis Brignoni has been focused on mobile app digital forensics as an area of interest due to the ever-evolving challenge of parsing a never-ending stream of new applications for relevant data. Matt Danner
Matt is the owner and lead developer of Monolith, a case and evidence management system for digital forensics labs and professionals. Matt has also been a digital forensics practitioner for the last decade and has consulted for private and public clients including corporations, law enforcement, and law firms. I regularly provide presentations on digital evidence collection and analysis to legal organizations and law enforcement. I have also testified as an expert witness in digital forensics several times.
Steve Whalen - Sumuri
Whalen has developed and delivered forensic training to thousands of investigators and examiners through organizations such as the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS), the High Technology Crimes International Association (HTCIA), and the US Department of State Anti-Terrorism Assistance Program. Whalen has provided training throughout North America, Central America, Asia, Europe, Middle East, the Caribbean, Africa, and Oceania.
Whalen is also the creator of the Macintosh Forensic Survival Course (MFSC), PALADIN, RECON, and CARBON forensic software, and TALINO Forensic Workstations.
Previously, Whalen served over 15 years as a Delaware State Trooper. During that time, he worked as a detective with the Criminal Investigations Unit and served as their first full-time forensic examiner for digital evidence. Building off that experience, Whalen helped the Delaware State Police develop its first High Technology Crimes Unit in 2001, where he processed thousands of electronic items and devices containing digital evidence from hundreds of cases relating to intrusion, financial crimes, child sexual exploitation, narcotics, stalking and homicides.
