The HTCIA Northern California Chapter cordially invites you to an outstanding presentation by Peter Phurchpean.

He will be speaking on his experience with the “Wasted App”

Peter is a Digital Forensics Examiner for the U.S. Federal Government, performs in-depth technical analyses of digital evidence, and forensically collects evidence from crime scenes. He has used commercial and open-source digital forensic tools to assist agents on diverse cases.  Peter's core competencies include cybercrime investigation, memory forensics, data forensics, and incident response methodologies. 

As a retired law enforcement officer, Peter has a strong background in criminal justice and police science. He holds several certifications from GIAC and the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training. 

Peter's dedication to the field extends beyond his professional work. He is deeply committed to raising international awareness of developments, teaching, training, responsibilities, and ethics in IT security and digital forensics. This commitment is evident in his role as an Advisory Board Member for the Techno Security & Digital Forensics Conference. 

This meeting will be held on June 27th Thursday, from 9:30 AM to 12:30PM (Pacific Time) / 12:30pm - 3:30pm Eastern

As always, we will feast on coffee and donuts for those physically present.

The meeting will be held at the California DOJ Bureau of Gambling Control conference room. You can access the building at the east side entrance (windows are blacked out on the room on the Del Paso Rd side of the building). You can park anywhere you’d like on the east or south side of the building (open parking lot). A map of the location is below.
