Description: This presentation equips investigators with essential skills to build effective timelines that simplify complex cases. Timelines are invaluable for organizing, clarifying, and presenting critical events. After gathering key evidence—documents, images, video, and audio—it's crucial to construct a chronological narrative that reveals the sequence, relationships between events, and possible motives. However, tools like Photoshop and PowerPoint often lack the functionality needed for this purpose. Participants will learn why timelines are pivotal in investigations, discover best practices for creating them, and gain insights into effective timeline development. Through real-world examples, investigators will enhance their ability to strengthen case narratives and engage audiences in investigative and legal settings.
