The Magnet Digital Investigation Suite (MDIS) is comprised of Magnet Atlas, Magnet Automate, and Magnet Review. Magnet Atlas is a management tool to track case, evidence, and agency details. Automate allows you to schedule and kickoff procedures and workflows for Magnet tools as well as other forensic tools. Once a process finishes another will begin without having to wait to manually start the next step. This utilizes your lab resources, streamlines cases, and reduces backlogs. Magnet Review allows the ability to distribute cases to key Users at different locations either using a secure cloud network or on-premise.

FDA’s Office of Criminal Investigations Cybercrime Investigations Unit is responsible for conducting criminal investigations of FDA regulated products which are being illegally distributed through various online sources (websites, social media, chat groups, etc.). This presentation will cover agency background and mission, focus of the Cybercrime Investigations Unit, and case examples.
